so far in 2009 i have :::

- written and recorded ten brand new songs from scratch in 12 hours as part of the “20 Song Game”, an idea created by the Immersion Composition Society. I’ll be knocking some of them in to shape and sharing them with you very soon.
- baked and eaten a good few fruit crumbles, some involving mincemeat.
- attended a variety of weird and wonderful Lose Weight Exercise classes at my local gym, with current favourites including spinning and boxerfit. Flailing my uncoordinated limbs in the air to bad dance music has never been more fun.
- had my hair dyed the wrong colour. I kind of like it though, enough not to bother changing it back for a bit anyway.
- waved goodbye to a dear friend for a while – he’s gone to Canada to stir up some social media madness.
- eaten at Yo Sushi for the first time. I enjoyed watching the dishes whizz around on conveyor belts, sampled my first hand roll and found the nicest miso soup I’ve eaten in the UK. The best I’ve ever had was in Moscow last August – Russia was fab.
- stuffed my face at Wagamama’s two days in a row. Rice noodle soup, oh yes!
- finished a new song with Hal of The Young Punx where I namecheck Twitter, Scroobius Pip, NaNoWriMo and my little dog Benji.
- started rollerskating and attended a Basic Skills session with the London Rollergirls. First league practice is tonight (Tuesday), woo!
- received a number of incredibly sweet and encouraging emails from fans. You know who you are – thanks for getting in touch!

News of another Young Punx collaboration coming very soon complete with exclusive video clips…watch this space…until then enjoy my current favourite song:

“Thou shalt not make repetitive generic music, thou shalt not make repetitive generic music, thou shalt not make repetitive generic music, thou shalt not make repetitive generic music…”
