great big update with photos and stuff :::

Feeling pretty tired today after a very long but fun photo shoot with The Young Punx yesterday. Dressed to the nines, we had the pleasure of being snapped by one of my favourite photographers and gentlemen, Mister James Cumpsty. I’m a big fan of his work – he’s photographed gazillions of musicians and did all the filming for the MASHitUP video – and he’s a great person to learn from too.

An added bonus was meeting (though not getting much time to talk to) a certain William Echo, fellow multi-instrumentalist solo artist, who kindly helped out all day and took some cool behind-the-scenes shots on my camera, thus:

More in The Young Punx group on Flickr, with actual photo shoot photos coming soon.

Earlier this week I set up a separate Facebook fan page to stand alongside the existing She Makes War page. I’ll be using it to alert people to forthcoming gigs and releases on the LK side of things so sign up if you’re interested in that.

Speaking of live shows, I’ll be appearing at Camden’s Proud Galleries with The Young Punx next Friday 27th February as part of a Bangers and Mash night. If you’re on our list you can get in for a bargainous fiver, so click here now for the Facebook event for more details and to add yourself.

On the video front I’m gradually adding content to my brand new page on MUZU – a new beta site for music-related videos with a really user friendly interface and lots of nice widgets attached. I think YouTube is excellent but has inevitably got clogged and messy with badly sorted content, so I’m interested to see how MUZU can improve upon that user experience by focusing on music.

And finally, photos have been uploaded from TYP gig in Dusseldorf last week (see the vBlog episode on that here). You can browse through them at your leisure on the venue’s site but Hal’s picked out some of his favourites here, and here’s the one of me I like the best – described by a friend as “posy 80s rockstar pimp”:
