@warriorgrrl vBlog ep 04 :::
I think my ears are still ringing a little bit after seeing The Cure last night. It was a phenomenal show in a too-slick, too-shiny setting (the O2), but then I’m a bundle of contradictions when it comes to live music. I like the option of sitting down at gigs and I want the sound to be fantastic but I want to see bands in a reasonably intimate setting. I don’t like being pushed around in a crowd or to have to crane my neck and squint to see the band but giant corporate arenas make me feel like I’ve accidentally ended up at a football match. I couldn’t help but be distracted by tiny little far away people walking up and down the steps up in the rafters at the opposite end of the venue from my seat – it looked so steep and precarious that they might fall. Scary. Oh, and Crystal Castles are much less good live than I was led to expect but I still absolutely love their album.
But anyway, it’s video blog time!
