feeling frank(furt) :::

Frankfurt: DaffodilsI went to Frankfurt with The Young Punx last week and it was absolutely brilliant.

Our hotel was right by the river Main so as soon as we’d checked in I was off out for a long waterside walk in the fading afternoon sunshine, followed by a curious super spicy spinach and ginger curry for dinner and the best vanilla rooibus ever back in my luxurious room.

Next day an early soundcheck meant we were free to stalk the sun drenched streets of the town centre for hours, pointing through shop windows at funny sights, enjoying amusing signs and marvelling at the architecture of the MyZiel mall, which is all curves and glass and twists and turns and has a big chute down the middle of it and a giant dent in the front of it. I want to go back there when it’s raining.

There was even time to play around in the hotel curtains:

Net Curtain #2 Net Curtain #1

The gig was lots of fun, the audience were great and we danced til the not-so-early hours. I’ve just about recovered after loads of sleep, many episodes of Seinfeld and a surprisingly good vegan chocolate fudge cake recipe.

Lots more photos here.
