montreal video shoot – part one :::

Posted 16 Sep 2009 in News,Photo Post,Travel

I am having a wonderful time so far in Montreal. Arriving late afternoon on Monday, I managed to stay awake and vaguely intelligible until about 10pm when the now-familiar judder of jetlag rendered me useless…then of course was wide awake at 6am the next day.

Day one of shooting was great – relaxed, friendly and professional. I had lots of fun larking about in front of the camera and geeking out behind it – 35mm lens, swoon – and after seeing bits of it back on the monitor I’m sure the whole thing is going to look pretty amazing. The Redroche guys are excellent company and kind hosts, the crew are brilliant and fabulous actress/filmmaker Melissa-Lynn Dozois has kindly travelled down from Toronto to help out with the behind the scenes video and general hanging out fun.

Me and Redroche strike a pose.

The crew have a serious discussion about the next shot while I practise kissyface.

Melissa and I relax between scenes.

Foodwise, after being introduced to the wonder of Timbits during the shoot yesterday I was in dire need of vegetables, so Melissa took me to Commensal, a vegetarian restaurant chain with a location in the Latin Quarter. We pigged out on tofu stews, lasagne, sprouts and giant avocados. YUM.

Today we visit more of the picturesque streets of Vieux Montreal, this time with a whole cast of dancers and models. It’s such a great way to see the city and I’m told there will be boys catapulting all over the shop – yes please!

More photos here, more to follow and “Give U More” is right here, right now!
