playing dressup :::
This week I have mostly been planning dressing up, dressing up and planning more dressing up. I had a hot date with some spray mount, a tub of glitter and some high gloss varnish on Saturday and my newly gold ukulele accompanied me as a prop for yesterday’s photoshoot with Laura Ward. It was a lot of fun rocking three startling looks in one short afternoon (thanks to brilliant makeup/hair/props Sammm Agnew) and entertaining the locals with my pouting, prancing and generally odd behaviour.
I could *perhaps* have picked a warmer day to spend lying down in the mud, arm outstretched, but I think the frostbite scare will have been worth it.
Today I popped in to Prangsta in New Cross to try on some fabulous dresses to use in tomorrow’s countryside shoot with Tim Collings, I did bring a gorgeous specimen home but sadly couldn’t stretch to this one as well…am now obsessed with making my own bustle overskirt with padding so if anyone can help with that please let me know!

In other news, I can reveal that I’m going to be shooting the video for She Makes War’s debut single “Let This Be” in North London a week on Wednesday. Directed by yours truly and shot on a glorious Red One camera, it promises to be a fantastic day’s shooting with some very talented people on board, so watch this space for behind the scenes footage and photos and remember you can always keep up with me on Twitter, too.

I love the little hat.
Bustles can be made with wire & stiff netting. ;o)
This one had big pads on it and lots of nice layers to pin around…I know it’s done by cutting polo mint shapes out of fabric and layering them up over a base but not sure how to figure out the measurements…
