Gig alert! November / December dates + post-tour tees

Happy weekend, friends!

I just wanted to alert you to the last few shows of 2017 – I’ve been pretty quiet in the UK this year due to making my new record (Pledge launching sooooooon) so am particularly excited for these dates.

Monday 6th November – Bristol, The Lantern – supporting Julien Baker

Announced just this week, I’m very pleased to have been chosen to support Julien at this show – if you haven’t already heard and fallen in love with her songs, she’s an American solo artist whose second album “Turn Out The Lights” is out today. She makes magical, “stark, soulful” music and I’m excited to see her perform live.

There are only a few tickets left so go go go!

Wednesday 15th November – Bristol, Thunderbolt – supporting Justin Sullivan (NMA)
I was delighted to be asked to join Justin at this gig after we did a lovely show together in Kidderminster in May. New Model Army fans have been very supportive of me at all the shows I played with that great band so I’m looking forward to seeing some friendly faces at this one.

*This gig is sold out but if you’re already going or know someone else who is, please tell them to get down early to support the support!*

Saturday 25th November – London, King’s Place – supporting Peni Candra Rini and Ade Suharto

This will be my King’s Place debut, and a very special performance! After taking part in the British Council’s cultural exchange in Indonesia in the summer I was approached by the organisers of this show to come along and play some songs and share stories from my time away, and I’m going to be putting together a special one off piece for the night as well.

As for the headliners, “‘Ontosoroh’ is an evocative collaborative music and dance project between Peni Candra Rini (vocalist / composer), Melbourne-based Ade Suharto (dancer/choreographer) and musicians from Surakarta, Central Java in Indonesia.

Peni combines traditional and contemporary vocal techniques, such as classical Javanese songs, tembang, which she has written in both poetic and colloquial Javanese language, as well as experimental and exploratory vocals. Ade draws from the vocabulary of classical Javanese and other dance styles to shape the narrative flow of the work.”

This is the best way to experience some brilliant traditional-meets-modern Indonesian music as well as hear more about my time away – grab your tickets here.

“An Evening with She Makes War” in London, Birmingham and Bristol
TICKETS // FACEBOOK – London / Birmingham / Bristol

Be quick, because there are less than 15 tickets left for each of my “An Evening with She Makes War” shows in December. I’ll be opening with a solo set and headlining with my brand new band and the very best bit is that I’m going to be premiering songs from my new album. It’s going to be mega and I’d LOVE you to join us.

If you read all the way to here – go and get yourself a cookie. You deserve it.

Hope to see you soon!
