CAMBRIDGE: Drizzle and darkness, hordes of chattering students pushing us off the pavement. A saunter across Parker’s Piece reminiscing about teenage shopping trips and stolen cigarettes.
A talented friend along for the journey, someone to share mulled wine and stories of my life as a teenage band member with. Good music, good people and a visit from my lovely parents. The pressure of putting on a gig away from home and relief when 19 people paid to come in and I could pay the soundlady and put money towards the train fare back.
Back to London to sleep in a cosy warehouse and wake to fluffy pancakes, jam and coffee before heading off for some downtime in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Photo above by Darren Watkinson, who also gave me a lovely mention on his blog. Thank you!
The other bands who played at Corner House were Aidy, Black Cloud Nine and AlicebanD – go check em out, yeah?
Hey, was a cool set, cheers for putting us on with you 🙂
No problem – thanks for playing! Bar a few irritating people who couldn’t be bothered getting in to the friendly DIY spirit I think it was a successful night – your stuff was really enjoyable too. Lovely to meet you!
